Many folks are trying the low-carb diets these days, and this is another recipe that is low-carb lifestyle friendly, not to mention quite a tasty recipe too.
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 1 hour 30 minutes
3 cups canned tomatoes, pureed
2 pgs sweetener (splenda is good)
2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. allspice
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 cup white vinegar
Combine everything except the sweetener into a medium saucepan. Simmer for one and a half hours, stirring regularly. Remove from heat and add two packages sweetener. Cool and pour into an empty, cleaned ketchup bottle, or in a jar with tight lid.
Store in refrigerator for up to four months.
